Storytime

Storytime is a big hit with Reed and Chloe ~ this was where a lot of time was spent during the holidays... Sofie and I have raided the library and have begun our own storytime. I hope she enjoys books as much as her cousins do.

Christmas projects

There were two big projects that were on the go. The first was the construction of the Gingerbread house. Krista wasn't a fan of the pre-made gingerbread ~ not knowing how long it had been there, so the project extended over a couple of days with the making and baking of the house itself. Chloe is a huge helper and is keen to be involved.

Decoration day was the day Aunt Sharon and Uncle Don came for dinner. The whole gang got into the creation.

The other creation was a gift for Grandpa Jim. Hopefully he can find a place for it!

Christmas visitors in the OC

Sofie had a few visitors while at Auntie Krista's house. The traditional Turkey dinner was had with Aunt Sharon and Uncle Don. They came up from Waterloo to spend the day and meet Sofie. It was good to catch up as it has been a number of years since I have seen them.

Aunt Flo and Uncle John also came for a morning visit. After spending time with their family for the holidays, it was good to hear how everyone is doing and catch up with the Murrays.

Hanging with cousin Chloe

We stayed with the Lavery/Loveys clan for almost a week and during that time, Chloe spent a lot of time with Sofie and was a huge help with our daily tasks. She was keen to get diapers, toss the dirty ones, pick out the clothes for Sofie for the day. She enjoyed spending time with Sofie and was fascinated that she was a real live moving 'big baby'.

Here are some photos of Chloe with Sofie.

These 2 were taken on the day we got there. It was great to see how interested and involved she wanted to be.

Gifts a plenty at the Lavery/Loveys house

Grandpa Jim, Jane, Sofie and I made the trip from Southampton to the Orange Corners for the holidays. The 'sleigh' was weighed down with gifts and it was like Santa arrived for a second time. It was very quickly after our arrival that Santa's helper was busy with her duties.

A busy time:

Reed hanging with Dad ~ who can blame him, the festivities were thrust upon him after his nap.
